ORGANIC CERTIFICATION: Coffees grown in third world countries like India and Ethiopia (where the coffees in this blend come from) use traditional organic farming methods. Farmers in these regions can’t afford expensive chemical fertilisers and consequently don’t use them; neither can they afford expensive first world certifications. Even if they understood the purpose of the certifications they would not have to change any of their longstanding and natural farming practises in order to qualify as organic.
