Workshop: Basketry of the Bush – Sat 13th Feb (6 spaces only)

We are excited to announce we will be running a whole host of retreats and workshops throughout 2016. To kick the year off we have:

WORKSHOP: Basketry of the Bush

Learn to weave a random weave basket with vines and plants from the bush or garden.

The workshop will be run in a tranquil setting on the Nurtured Earth Farm at MacMasters Beach. There is a maximum number of six attendees and your course fee includes a wholesome morning tea and lunch with all certified organic ingredients plus home-made chai and traditionally fermented ginger beer.

You will leave the workshop with a gorgeous original basket, an appreciation for bush offerings, a wee Nurtured Earth gift, a bunch of recipes and quite likely some new friends!

TUTOR: Lindsay Cameron is a fibre artist living on the Coast. Lindsay teaches basketry techniques such as random weaving, twining, rope making and coiling. Lindsay also teaches nuno felting and eco dying (watch this space :)). Read more about Lindsay on her blog HERE.

Janine and Sonia from Nurtured Earth Organics will be busy in the kitchen serving up organic wholesome food. With a passion for all things food… you can expect to be well nourished. You will also take home the recipe of everything you eat plus a little gift 🙂

  • WORKSHOP FEE: $145 (includes all materials)
  • DATE: Saturday 13 February
  • TIME: 9:30 – 3:30
  • NUMBERS: 6 attendees (maximum)

TO REGISTER YOUR INTEREST:  email welovefood@nurtured-earth.com.au with reference ‘Basketry Workshop‘. Details will be sent out thereafter.
