WORKSHOP: Learn to weave a Melon Basket, Fri 18th Mar (2 spaces left)

Our last workshop: ‘Random Basket Weave’ was a complete hit! 🙂  Some feed back from one of the participants.

Thanks so much, it was a truly lovely day, the food was great, the company was lovely and what an awesome skill to learn.

WORKSHOP: Melon Basket  Melon_Basket_Weaving_Workshop

Learn to weave a melon basket with vines and plants from the bush or garden.

The workshop will be run in a tranquil setting on the Nurtured Earth Farm at MacMasters Beach. There is a maximum number of seven attendees and your course fee includes a wholesome morning tea and lunch with all certified organic ingredients plus home-made chai and traditionally fermented ginger beer.

You will leave the workshop with a gorgeous original basket, an appreciation for bush offerings, a wee Nurtured Earth gift, a bunch of recipes and quite likely some new friends!

TUTOR: Lindsay Cameron is a fibre artist living on the Coast. Lindsay teaches basketry techniques such as random weaving, twining, rope making and coiling. Lindsay also teaches nuno felting and eco dying (watch this space :)). Read more about Lindsay on her blog HERE.

Janine and Sonia from Nurtured Earth Organics will be busy in the kitchen serving up organic wholesome food. With a passion for all things food… you can expect to be well nourished. You will also take home the recipe of everything you eat plus a little gift.
