This porridge is so yummy you could eat it for Pudding! Delicious and super nutritious!
500ml of liquid ie. Coconut water, Coconut milk, Almond Milk (or any liquid of your preference)
Mix in the following ingredients to the liquid:
75g chia seeds – stir in slowly to avoid clumping
2 tbspns raw honey
2 tsp ground cinnamon
pinch of ground nutmeg
1 tsp vanilla bean powder (or paste or essence fine too)
Pinch of salt
Mix any of these in too (optional):
2 tbspn cacao (or more if you want a real chocolately porridge!)… Leave out if chocolate is not something you want for breakfast 🙂
A handful of raw cacao nibs
A handful of sunflower seeds
A handful of goji berries
Leave to soak overnight (or for at least 90 minutes)
Serve a portion with ANY (or ALL) of these ingredients
A handful of cashews or any nuts and seeds (raw is always best)
A handful of berries (raspberries, blueberries, strawberries) or any chopped up fruit. Try grated apple!
2 (or more) tablespoons of coconut cream
A handful of coconut chips (optional)
A sprinkle of cinnamon
A drizzle of raw honey
The porridge will keep in the fridge for a few days. So make a batch at the beginning of the week and you are set to GO!
